Helping Yukoners make meaningful personal and professional connections.

  • Adult Counselling

People work with me when they are tired, overwhelmed or frustrated with trying to figure it out on their own. They are ready to take the lead in their life.

Being heard and learning your struggles are normal supports your healing. You can find new ways of understanding your challenges of dissatisfaction, anxiety, and isolation.

You will work with me to create a plan for moving forward in a more positive and purposeful way.

  • Couples Therapy

I work with couples when you feel stuck and are looking for healthier ways to communicate. I help you overcome conflicts and disconnection with your partner due to communication issues, affairs, or differing future dreams, values, and/or parenting styles.

You can revitalize your love and connection for one another and increase communication, intimacy, & respect.

  • Clinical Supervision

If you are a clinician early in your therapy career, I work with you to develop your professional identity, to increase your professional competency and confidence, and to create a healthy work/life balance.

I provide one on one supervision to both Art Therapists and/or Counsellors.

WHO I SUPPORT

CREATIVITY REQUIRES THE COURAGE TO LET GO OF CERTAINTIES.
— Erich Fromm

My practice is located on a treed property about 15 minutes outside of city limits on the North Klondike Highway (Mayo Road). The decision to practice from this location was intentional, so you can take a break from life and be closer to nature. You may also appreciate accessing counselling outside of the conventional office environment in a location that is more private.

In the late Spring to early Fall months, if appropriate and you are comfortable, we may go into nature and engage in art making with items from nature. Or, you have the option to enjoy the outdoors and have your session outside.

After or before sessions, you can extend your time away from your busy life by going to the Yukon Research Forest, or by turning onto the Hot Springs Road to visit some of the established amenities and attractions.

You work hard in life, take this time for you.

Sessions are available in-person or by video or phone

Finding the ideal Counsellor for you is essential. Distance, inability to travel, or anxiety meeting a Counsellor in-person should not get in the way. Many of my clients either live far from my office location, have demanding schedules or simply would prefer accessing services from the comfort of their own home. Online Counselling and Art Therapy is an excellent alternative.

Creative

Meeting you where you are in your healing journey is essential. As an experienced therapist, I believe in flexibility and creativity to meet the unique needs of my clients as I am aware not every approach is suitable for every one of you. Together we will explore and understand your ways of being that can make you feel stuck.

Through a creative and curious lens, we will explore your challenges with identity, relationships (self and other), stress or discomfort, with the ultimate goal of becoming unstuck!

Inclusive

It’s important that you and I develop a trusting relationship, so you feel safe and motivated to achieve your goals. As an inclusive therapist, I respect your sexual identity and orientation, cultural backgrounds, as well as your experiences, values and beliefs.

I am continually working to increase my understanding of what it means to be an ally and the challenges that arise related to community and isolation.

Collaborative

I value the role of collaboration to explore, process and increase awareness of old unhelpful narratives and ways of being that no longer serve you. Together in a supportive environment, we create new ways of understanding and connecting with yourself, loved ones and the world.

Therapy takes work and is an investment of your time and resources. I look forward to working with you to engage your full potential.
